  20. My 850 is unlocked and on straighttalk. If i do a factory reset, will that take me back to kitkat and then upgrade to lollipop?

    • Hi,
Resetting your phone will not take you bacK. You will remain at the same firmware. Only your phone will be restored to default factory settings.
For downgrading to lollipop you should follow the instructions.

  21. Hi bro im current using my local verion lg g3 d855. can this be applicable to me as well? wont it be locked to any other countries ?

  22. when i connect my phone to pc the lgup tool not working saying u have to select known model please and there is no list of any other models mine detected is model COM-5 d8553

  23. Dear Faiq Ahmed,
Thank you for the detailed tutorial and download links. I recently updated my LG G3 (T-Mobile)
now my phone is useless. screen flickering then black off. please let me know the proper file to downgrade to version 5

  24. I’ve followed this tutorial bit by bit, is it normal that the led has been flashing blue and green while the screen is stuck on the operator menu (In my case it’s Orange but in case you don’t get what I am saying just imagine your screen was stuck on a Verizon logo that shows up when you power on the phone)
for the past 40 minutes ?

    • This issue is normal. You should perform a factory reset from the recovery menu to solve this issue. Follow these instruction to solve stuck at boot screen problem.

  25. Will this work for LG-D852? (Is there an alternative solution if it won’t?) I don’t want to mess anything up but you expressly said to make sure the model matched.

    • The method is same but you will need a different kdz file for D852 model. Find the file here and rest of the instructions are same.

      • LG-D851 file appears to be available through that link too, so could you please tell me if the same method applies that you are using here for the LG-D855 and Rena used for the LG-D852?

        • I’m also trying to find a tutorial for model d851. My T-Mobile lg g3 not compatible with d855 but I hear you need lg flash tool 2014 to flash it back. Just don’t know which file or how it works.
